Ok, so it's that time of year again, time to count my blessings and be pleased that I've made it another 12 months without serious downfall. :) That have been said, let's all get pissed together at Hockey Haven around 10:30ish. The Haven is located in the Outter Richmond, across from the Balboa Theater (on Balboa, between 37th & 38th). It's a small, dark, blue-collar, hole-in-the-wall, with a pool table, dim lights, strong drinks, cold beer, a killer tune box and Golden Tee for those interested. :) So, whaddaya say, come on down and quaff a stein for my b-day. No presents, just be present.

Hey folks,
This thursday I'll be bringing you someone who like his tracks a lot like I do; with a good acid line. That someone is Lick The DJ.

Lick The DJ has been hanging with the likes of FnF, so you know he knows his acid lines. He's also part of Lost Tribe (the Sweet parties) and he's part
of Lick The Micron (a tagteam duo with Micron.) Peep him at http://www.lickthedj.com to find out more.

The main thing is that you tune in to the show this Thur. You can expect to
hear things in the tech-house, house and techno realms, mainly with that
good acid line!! We're at 90.1 FM and online at
http://kzsulive.stanford.edu

Ciao!

DJ Amok, Catharsis, and J.C. on An Epiphany Of Sound today

Well, DJ Amok is in town and we're lucky enough to have him join us on An Epiphany of Sound this week. And since he's known for his hard techno style, you can take the opportunity to relieve yourself of the angst you might be feeling about joinging your family for turkey day (if you're not that into them) or you can use it to get yourself excited about spending time with your family for the feast. You choose! Simply don't skip out on the show. It's even likely that you'll hear some choices from either of his Artillery or Crowbar record labels too.

That's An Epiphany Of Sound, today between 9a and noon at 90.1 FM.
We're online too at http://kzsulive.stanford.edu

Tune in!

Tomorrow, we'll be hosting DJ Markiss Anthony on An Epiphany of Sound from 9a to noon. (That's Thursday folks.) Each time we've had him on in the past he's given us an amazingly sick set in pure San Francisco style. I'm expecting no less this week.

He's also in the midst of almost completing a new album's worth of tracks (he's got 14 done, aiming for 18), and I believe he'll be sharing some, if not all, of those with everyone tomorrow. So don't miss this one!

For the record, you can reach him at markissanthony@comcast.net (to smother him in praise of course. :) ) But firstly, make sure that you tune in to 90.1 FM here in the bay area, or online at http://kzsulive.stanford.edu between 9a and noon pacific time this Thursday.

Hey folks,
We've been trying for a while to get Indigo (of friends & family, urban wasteland and the ambient mafia) on the show for some time now, just so that he can give us that special dose of peak hour funky breaks that we all know him for. WELL, we've found a time when things have worked out in our favor. And that time is tomorrow morning! (I'm hoping for your sake that you're not stuck inside some cubicle during the show, as I doubt you'll be wanting to be sitting down.)

So definitely tune in. The show is back in the Thursday timeslot, 9a-noon pacific time. 90.1 on the FM dial in the SF bay area, and online at http://kzsulive.stanford.edu

And in case you're unlucky enough to miss out on the show, he does have tasty beats up on his website at http://home.earthlink.net/~st_indigo

Talk to you tomorrow!

Sly and Lazy Slave on An Epiphany Of Sound tomorrow

Tomorrow I'll have two san francisco djs bringing different takes on sub fueled electronica and rhythmics.

So get ready for an illin' back-to-back versus battle that will leave you in a total manic state. Be sure to take plenty of beta-stoppers, cuz LAZY SLAVE will be spinning an all-school reunion of breaks that'll leave you comin' up short on your next pop quiz.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in, SLY will rock ya two-time with some dubby electrical-shock house that'll totally short-circuit what little you had left for a brain. Be prepared with sturdy rubber shoes!

They've promised to bring me rosicrucian pool party polkas : illektro, chunk-house, fonk, and porntempo (and, no, I'm not trying to compete with Howard Stern.) I'll be holding them to their promise (if it's at all possible!) So you must listen in: 90.1 FM over the air and http://kzsulive.stanford.edu online from 9a-Noon pacific time this Wed.

Tracks from the album have topped online music charts, received airplay in the U.S. and internationally, and been licensed to television, video and compilations. From Grammy/NARAS shows to the Love Parade, Artemis is a brilliant new constellation on the rise.

Artemis will be making a appearance on An Epiphany Of Sound on Tue. Dec. 14th, from 10a-Noon. You can hear the show on the air in the SF Bay region at 90.1 FM or online at http://kzsulive.stanford.edu. Please join us!

Thanks for having me on today. I had a lot of fun. You need to have me on again someday so I can play some of my own tracks and do some better mixing.

It was a dream come true to get to perform on the radio and to meet the infamous J.C. in person.

Nice set also, really dark. A dissosociative type set. I love how you closed with a great track from James Holden's Balance 005 CD. The best release of 03 in my opinion.
