Friday the 13th, let's get drunk!

Ok, so it's that time of year again, time to count my blessings and be pleased that I've made it another 12 months without serious downfall. :) That have been said, let's all get pissed together at Hockey Haven around 10:30ish. The Haven is located in the Outter Richmond, across from the Balboa Theater (on Balboa, between 37th & 38th). It's a small, dark, blue-collar, hole-in-the-wall, with a pool table, dim lights, strong drinks, cold beer, a killer tune box and Golden Tee for those interested. :) So, whaddaya say, come on down and quaff a stein for my b-day. No presents, just be present.

Winter Solstice Marathon is ON THE AIR

So I slacked in letting folks know about our special today. 24 hours of house in celebration of the Winter Solstice (Go bean king!!) on 90.1 FM, KZSU. We're over half way done though (we're going until about 3a!)

Tomorrow, we'll be hosting DJ Markiss Anthony on An Epiphany of Sound from 9a to noon. (That's Thursday folks.) Each time we've had him on in the past he's given us an amazingly sick set in pure San Francisco style. I'm expecting no less this week.

He's also in the midst of almost completing a new album's worth of tracks (he's got 14 done, aiming for 18), and I believe he'll be sharing some, if not all, of those with everyone tomorrow. So don't miss this one!

We've been trying for a while to get Indigo (of friends & family, urban wasteland and the ambient mafia) on the show for some time now, just so that he can give us that special dose of peak hour funky breaks that we all know him for. WELL, we've found a time when things have worked out in our favor. And that time is tomorrow morning! (I'm hoping for your sake that you're not stuck inside some cubicle during the show, as I doubt you'll be wanting to be sitting down.)

So get ready for an illin' back-to-back versus battle that will leave you in a total manic state. Be sure to take plenty of beta-stoppers, cuz LAZY SLAVE will be spinning an all-school reunion of breaks that'll leave you comin' up short on your next pop quiz.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in, SLY will rock ya two-time with some dubby electrical-shock house that'll totally short-circuit what little you had left for a brain. Be prepared with sturdy rubber shoes!

Nice set also, really dark. A dissosociative type set. I love how you closed with a great track from James Holden's Balance 005 CD. The best release of 03 in my opinion.
